USQBC Response to Secretary of State Tillerson's Statement

WASHINGTON, DC — JUNE 9, 2017:  The US-Qatar Business Council is encouraged by Secretary of State Tillerson's strong but thoughtful call to lower tensions in the GCC region. The Council especially welcomes his call to end the blockade of Qatar, a blockade that causes human hardship and harms the economic interests not only of the countries involved, but of the United States and larger world commerce. We strongly commend and support the Secretary of State's leadership to bring about a diplomatic resolution.  The United States' leadership in the Arabian Gulf is critical at this time. ###
