USQBC & QFC Ink MoU to Bolster Bilateral Business

27 February 2017, Doha: The Qatar Financial Centre (QFC) Authority today signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the US-Qatar Business Council (USQBC) to expand collaboration between the two organizations and promote business between the United States and Qatar.
The agreement lays the groundwork for the development of strategic initiatives aimed at benefitting both QFC-licensed firms and USQBC members. The MoU will expose American financial and professional services firms to the QFC’s world-class platform for doing business in Qatar and the Middle East, North Africa and South Asia (MENASA) region.
It additionally provides a powerful avenue for firms operating at the QFC to pursue new business and engage with key partners in the US. The USQBC counts prominent Qatari and Fortune 500 companies among its members, who benefit from USQBC’s programming, advice and counsel in seeking bilateral business opportunities.
Yousuf Mohamed Al-Jaida, QFC Authority CEO, said: "This agreement is the latest step by QFC to support the growth of our licensed firms and facilitate the expansion and diversification of the Qatari private sector. Cross-sector collaboration of this sort has been, and will continue to be, central to the success of QFC and the companies we serve.”
USQBC’s Managing Director, Mohammed Barakat said: “Creating a world-class business environment for companies operating or interested in operating in Qatar is a goal shared by both the USQBC and QFC. مركز قطر للمال ومجلس الأعمال القطري الأمريكي يوقعان على مذكرة تفاهم لدعم الأعمال الثنائية
27 شباط/فبراير 2017، الدوحة: وقعت اليوم هيئة مركز قطر للمال مذكرة تفاهم مجلس الأعمال القطري الأمريكي هدفها توسيع التعاون بين المنظمتين وتعزيز الأعمال بين الولايات المتحدة ودولة قطر.
وقد وضع هذا الاتفاق حجر الأساس لتطوير مبادرات استراتيجية ترمي إلى خدمة الشركات المرخصة من مركز قطر للأعمال وأعضاء مجلس الأعمال القطري الأمريكي. وسوف تلقي مذكرة التفاهم الضوء على الشركات الأمريكية المعنية بتقديم الخدمات المالية والمهنية على المنصة العالمية المستوى لمركز قطر للأعمال من أجل مزاولة الأعمال في قطر ومنطقة الشرق الأوسط وشمال أفريقيا وجنوب آسيا.
كما ستكون هذه المذكرة بمثابة فسحة قوية تتيح للشركات العاملة في مركز قطر للمال مزاولة أعمال جديدة لها والتعامل مع شركاء مهمّين في الولايات المتحدة. ويشار إلى أن مجلس الأعمال القطري الأمريكي يضم بين أعضائه شركات قطرية بارزة وشركات مدرجة على قائمة "فورتشن 500"، وهي تستفيد من البرامج والخدمات الاستشارية والإرشادية التي يقدمها مركز الأعمال عند البحث عن فرص الأعمال الثنائية.
وفي هذا السياق قال الرئيس التنفيذي لهيئة مركز قطر للمال يوسف محمد الجيدة إن "هذا الاتفاق هو الخطوة الأحدث التي اتخذها مركز قطر للمال من أجل دعم نمو شركاتنا المرخصة وتسهيل توسّع القطاع الخاص وتنوعه في قطر. ولطالما كان هذا النوع من التعاون بين القطاعات وسيبقى ضروريًا لنجاح مركز قطر للمال والشركات التي نخدمها".
في المقابل أفاد المدير التنفيذي لمجلس الأعمال القطري الأمريكي محمد بركات أن "إيجاد بيئة أعمال عالمية المستوى للشركات العاملة أو المهتمة بالعمل في قطر هو هدف مشترك لدى مركز الأعمال القطري الأمريكي ومركز قطر للمال. وقد التزمت هاتان المنظمتان ذات التوجهات المماثلة عند التوقيع على هذا الاتفاق بتعميق التعاون واستناح الفرص الجديدة التي تتاح أمام القطاع الخاص في قطر والولايات المتحدة".
