USQBC was pleased to host a luncheon discussion on Cultural and Sports Diplomacy, featuring Matthew Asada, Visiting Senior Fellow at the University of Southern California, and Fahad Al-Dosari, Qatar’s Commercial Attache to the United States and Mexico. The discussion which was moderated by Mohamed “Moe” Barakat, USQBC Managing Director and Treasurer of the Board of Directors, allowed participants to gain insights and understanding around Qatar's success in utilizing cultural and sports events to drive foreign direct investment into Qatar and in enhancing business partnerships globally, and how US companies can leverage upcoming global mega events with cultural and commercial activations.
