Los Angeles, California – USQBC was pleased to host a private Business Reception in Beverly Hills, CA on the sidelines of SelectLA, one of the largest regional activations of SelectUSA Investment Summit, bringing together senior executives, state and city representatives, and international partners to showcase investment opportunities across the United States.
The reception emphasized the strength of U.S. regional ecosystems and their growing appeal to global investors, while also advancing dialogue on how U.S. companies can expand into and partner with Qatar. The evening created a two-way platform: highlighting opportunities across U.S. cities and states, while offering insights into Qatar’s evolving economic landscape and sectoral growth areas.
We were honored to welcome H.E. Hassan Al Khalifa, Consul General of the State of Qatar in Los Angeles, and Mr. Fahad Al-Dosari, Commercial Attaché of the State of Qatar to the United States, whose presence underscored the importance of sustained diplomatic and commercial engagement at the subnational level.
Consuls general, diplomats and senior executives from across the United States and the West Coast joined the discussion, reflecting strong private-sector interest in deepening U.S.-Qatar economic ties and exploring new avenues for investment, partnerships, and market entry.
Remarks were delivered by Mr. Moe Barakat, Managing Director and Treasurer of the Board of Directors of USQBC, Mr. Fahad Al-Dosari, Commercial Attaché of the State of Qatar to the United States, and Ms. Leslie Machado, Strategic Director at Visit Qatar. Speakers highlighted the importance of engaging U.S. states and cities as key drivers of economic growth, while reaffirming Qatar’s role as a strategic partner and gateway for U.S. businesses in the region.
The discussion reinforced a clear message: the United States continues to offer dynamic, competitive opportunities for global investors, and Qatar remains open for business, committed to building long-term partnerships with U.S. companies seeking to grow both domestically and internationally.
A special thank you to our event sponsors, Excelerate Energy, a USQBC Oryx Member, and Visit Qatar, for their continued partnership and steadfast support in advancing USQBC’s mission and enabling impactful engagements such as this one.
