Qatari Ambassador & USQBC President Make Official Visit to West Virginia

Ambassador Patrick N. Theros, President of the US-Qatar Business Council, and Ambassador Mohammed Jaham Al Kuwari, Qatar's Ambassador to the United States, visited West Virginia last week where they met with state and business leaders discussing potential investment opportunities for Qatar. During the visit, Ambassador Al Kuwari and Ambassador Theros met with US Senator Joe Manchin,and were hosted by West Virginia Governor Earl Ray Tomblin for a luncheon at his residence.
The delegation participated in a roundtable discussion attended by business and government leaders, and visited Dow Chemical's Institute Manufacturing Site. They were also given a tour of the West Virginia State Museum by Commissioner Randall
Reid-Smith. Furthermore, Ambassador Al Kuwari announced a $50,000 donation to the Reconnecting McDowell Foundation. The visit paved the way for further discussions on Qatari investment into the state.
