We generally offer the following internships in our Washington, DC office:

Social Media & Communications Intern

Research Intern

Graphic Design Intern

The positions at the Council have flexible scheduling, valuable responsibilities, and numerous opportunities that include attending high-level networking events and conferences in Washington, DC.

 

QUALIFICATIONS: College or graduate students. Interest or experience in the GCC/Qatar strongly preferred. Position requires attention to detail, strong communication skills, and background supportive of international business/relations work.

 

Preferences for:

Communications (writing samples must be submitted) – Excellent writing skills (University newspaper, publications, etc), experience with social media, ability to effectively communicate with C-suite individuals.

Research – Ability to compose original content for research purposes on behalf of the Council. Topics will include International Relations/Business, Government and International Trade. Knowledge of GCC is essential. Knowledge of Qatar preferred.

Graphic Design – Ability to create and edit graphics for various projects, such as logos, flyers, posters, websites, social media, and more. Knowledge of use of different software tools, such as Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Sketch, to produce high-quality and original designs.

Arabic speaking candidates are encouraged to apply.
Strong organizational and writing skills are essential for all positions.
Database experience and/or research experience is preferred.
Willing to work minimum 35 hrs per week for 10 weeks

The applicant should be able to work independently and be able to complete tasks single-handedly, while updating the rest of the team on progress, changes, and issues so as to have them resolved quickly and stay on track.

A stipend for interns is available.
