• Obtained a B.A. in Economics and Business Administration, Qatar University,2003.

Expertise and Employment Record:

• Joined the Supreme Council for Family Affairs in 2003 as an Economic Researcher. He was then successively promoted until he reached the position of Director of Economic Affairs, in the period from 2005 until 2009.
• Was appointed Manager for the Project on supporting and developing small and medium scale State enterprises at the Ministry of Business and Trade, in March 2009.
• Was appointed Director of Department for Public- Private Sectors Partnership, at the Ministry of Business and Trade, in November 2009.
• Was appointed Secretary of the Personal Representative of H.H. the Emir for Follow-up Affairs, at the Emiri Diwan, in June 2010.
• He occupies the post of Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors of Qatar Mining Company, as from August 2010.
• Attained the rank of Assistant Undersecretary, in January 2011.
• Occupies the position of Member of the Board of Directors of Qatar Authority for Development of Small and Medium Scale Enterprises, and Chairman of the Executive Committee on the Development of Small and Medium Scale Enterprises, as from May 2011.
• Holds the post of the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Aspire - Katara Investment Company, as from July 2011.
• Attained the rank of Undersecretary in November 2012.
• Held the position of Assistant Foreign Minister for International Cooperation Affairs, appointed as from January 2014.
• Was appointed Minister of Foreign Affairs on January 27th, 2016.
