Chevron is an American multinational energy corporation and one of the world's six "supermajor" oil companies. Headquartered in San Ramon, California, and active in more than 180 countries, it is engaged in every aspect of the oil, gas, and geothermal energy industries, including exploration and production; refining, marketing and transport; chemicals manufacturing and sales; and power generation. For the past five years, Chevron has been continuously ranked as one of America's 5 largest corporations by Fortune 500. In 2011 it was named the 16th largest public company in the world by Forbes Global 2000. The company has a worldwide marketing network in 84 countries with approximately 24,000 retail sites, including those of affiliate companies.
The Chevron Europe, Eurasia and Middle East Exploration and Production (CEEMEEP) operating company is active in 13 countries and headquartered in London, positioning Chevron at the heart of the region's business and commercial center and enabling effective support for its three strategic business units (SBUs). By joining the USQBC, Chevron aims to increase their operations in the State of Qatar as well as other areas in the Middle East.
