Al Jazeera
Al Jazeera is one of the largest and most prominent Arab News Networks in the Middle East and around the globe. Based in Doha, Al Jazeera has come to the forefront of the Arab media world since its inception in 1996 and has been characterized by its dedication to providing accurate and unbiased news. In 1999 Al Jazeera began full time 24 hour news broadcasting, which by 2000 resulted in it being the most watched television channel in the Arab world. Al Jazeera remains committed to covering breaking news stories by putting reporters and cameras on the ground of as many events of breaking news in the Middle East as possible.
In 2006, Al Jazeera began airing Al Jazeera English, a sister channel that is the first English language news channel of its kind based in the Middle East. Al Jazeera English currently has 3 broadcast centers including one in Doha, London, and Washington, D.C. Al Jazeera continues to be the leading television news provider in Qatar and is expanding its services to different countries in order to serve various populations. As one of the founding members of USQBC, Al Jazeera seeks to utilize this unique partnership to expand its global reach and continually provide reliable news services throughout the world.
