NEW YORK, NY - SEPTEMBER 25, 2017: The US-Qatar Business Council’s Managing Director, Mohammed Barakat, spoke on a panel at the Annual C3 US-Arab Business and Healthcare Summit held at the Union League Club in New York City.

Mr. Barakat participated in the opening plenary of the Summit, titled “The Importance of Selecting and Managing Your Local Partners in the Middle East.” He spoke alongside Mr. H. Delano Roosevelt of Reza Investment Group, Ambassador Marc Ginsberg, former US Ambassador to Morocco, and Mr. Muneer A. Baig, of SYSUSA Inc.

The panel focused on how US companies should handle operations overseas, touching on management, partners, and leveraging resources. Mr. Barakat’s remarks focused on the invaluable knowledge local partners can afford a company looking to do business in the region, even if they are not required by local laws.

“Entities like the US-Qatar Business Council provide invaluable insight to companies wishing to engage in the Middle East,” Mr. Barakat said, adding that “participating in trade shows and with visiting delegations offers ways to connect with potential partners in the Middle East.” “It is always an honor to speak at the C3 Summit. The Summit provides the US-Arab bilateral business community an excellent forum for discussion and allows for critical conversations and connections to be made. Ransel Potter has truly created a landmark Summit that we look forward to every year.” said Mr. Barakat about the 2017 C3 Summit.
